About Us

Originally the club started life in the 1960s as a miners welfare, however, with the demise of the local pit, the club became involved with the local community as a whole and has since flourished to become a social club for all but with its history firmly entrenched in the mining industry. The club has a prestigious size boasting several large bars, garden, family and snooker rooms, entertainment suites with their own bars and one of the largest fully equipped stages in the East Midlands. The main hall is capable of seating several hundred people with a dedicated large bar, food bar and gallery. The various rooms and hall are available to hire for weddings, funerals, parties, plays, pantomimes, corporate functions and other productions needing facilities for large audiences and refreshments.
